Free offers and discounts await officials in September
MANILA – Public servants and government employees will be able to enjoy special benefits and discounts on shopping, accommodation and activities in September to celebrate the 123rd anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service (PCSA) .
The Chairman of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), Karlo Nograles, stated that the commission has partnered with various private foundations to offer exclusive rates and gifts for the 1.9 million active civil servants.as well as retirees to recognize their hard work.work and commitment to public service.
“We have prepared these special gifts to thank our employees.Your sacrifices to always meet the needs and provide quality service to the public are invaluable.Thank you.
(We’ve prepared these special gifts as a tribute to our employees.Can’t stress enough your sacrifices to expand quality public service),” Nograles said in An announcement.
According to CSC, for the whole of September, government employees can benefit from discounts from public and private sector partners in accommodation, leisure facilities, food orders, facilities health and wellness departments, retailers, service providers and travel agents.

About the PCSA
The PCSA’s annual celebration commemorates the signing of Public Law No.
5, or Law for the Establishment and Maintenance of an Honest and Effective Public Service in the Philippine Islands, on September 19, 1900.
This celebration also aligns with Presidential Proclamation No. 1050, Series of 1997, signed by the late President Fidel Valdez Ramos, declaring September to be Public Service Month.
CASP has an overarching 10-year theme, Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade:Celebrating future-ready and resilient Heroes-in-service, reflects the collective experience of the government workforce in the new normal, while driving digital transformation and innovation to maintain the continuity and excellence of public service.
